The Policy Brief Series is directed toward policy makers at all levels (national, provincial, district level) as well as international organizations and donor partners. These briefs are based on the experiences of NAFRI. It provides short, informative analysis on some of the most pressing issues related to agriculture and natural resource management facing Lao PDR. Moreover, the Policy Brief Series provides readers with concrete options and solutions for dealing with identified issues. Policy briefs will be initially identified based on NAFRI research results and overtime be based on feedback from policy makers on their own information needs and preferences

The Lao Agricultural Research Fund (LARF) aims to provide Lao scientists with an opportunity to compete for agricultural research funds.The LARF is open to government agencies, universities, agricultural colleges and NGO organisations based in the Lao PDR, which have a mandate to undertake agricultural research. Proposals must contain a defined research project, and can be of one or two years in duration. The annual funding limit for individual projects is US$6,000 and a maximum of US$10,000 for two year projects. The grant moneys are for expenditure only within the Lao PDR. More Info>>
