Lao-Swedish Upland Agriculture and Forestry Research Programme
The Lao-Swedish Upland Agriculture and Forestry Research Program (LSUAFRP) is a partnership between the National Agriculture and Forestry Research Institute (NAFRI) and Sida to strengthen the research capacity within Lao PDR. The current phase (2002 - 2005) focuses on providing coherent research support for the implementation and refinement of national policy on upland development.
Multidisciplinary, field-based research is carried out in two target districts of Northern Laos. This includes four components:1) Farming Systems Research & Extension
3) Land Management
2) Socio-Economics
4) Forestry
